Traffic records
App traffic totals and optional destination-name history are recorded locally. Retention options and clearing controls are in NetGate. Private Mode hides figures; it is a separate setting from destination-name recording.
Profiles and saved networks
Profiles, limits, schedules and saved Wi-Fi names stay on your Mac. Wi-Fi recognition is optional and requires a separate macOS location permission. NetGate does not request coordinates or scan nearby networks. The local accounting service stores an opaque network identifier with traffic records; it does not receive the Wi-Fi name.
Activation and payment
Activation contacts the license service to validate a license and its device binding. Payments use Stripe. A lifetime license still renews its signed activation periodically. Traffic-history records are not sent as part of that activation request.
License recovery
For help finding a license, use the support form. Do not include the license key in your message. A support reply does not by itself reset a device binding or extend a license.
Connection diagnostics
Live Monitor makes connection-check requests to Apple, Google, Yandex and Cloudflare. An optional speed test transfers data to Cloudflare. These services receive ordinary connection metadata, such as your IP address; these checks do not upload your traffic history.
This website
This website serves its images, fonts and interface scripts locally. It has no analytics scripts or embedded external video. You can contact us using the support form.
Support messages
When you use the support form, your email address, message and optional screenshot are sent to hello@netgate.world through Google Workspace so we can answer you. The website server does not retain the message or attachment after sending. Anti-spam checks use a hash of your IP address and timestamps of recent attempts. Please review screenshots before sending them. The website demo and FAQ search run in your browser without sending their data to a server. Your decorative animation preference is stored only in this browser.
