Rules for the way you connect.

Save app rules, match networks and watch your data allowance.

Set your rules once. Use them when you need them.

Save profiles and choose when your rules apply. Keep different app rules for different situations, with a manual pause always within reach.

Saved profiles

Keep independent app rules for different situations. Choose whether new apps start allowed or blocked. Manual access changes are saved in your active profile.

Traffic limits

Choose a daily, weekly or monthly limit for your Mac or a saved Wi-Fi network. NetGate shows a warning in its automation panel at 90% and requests a traffic pause at the limit. Periodic checks allow some overshoot.

Remembered networks

Choose profiles for network types or opt in to remembering individual Wi-Fi networks. macOS requires location permission to read Wi-Fi names; NetGate does not request coordinates. Choose what happens on an unassigned network.

Schedules

Pick days and time intervals, including overnight periods. Schedules take priority over network selection; traffic control turns off outside enabled intervals.

Shortcuts and AppleScript

Select a profile, enable or disable traffic control, or resume automation with native Shortcuts actions and a documented AppleScript dictionary. Permissions and a valid license are still required.

Automation needs NetGate to remain open. Manual control changes pause automation until you resume it. Network limits use traffic tagged after recognition is enabled; older untagged history is not assigned to a network. NetGate counters are an estimate, not your carrier bill.
