Give each app its place online.

See the apps using your network. Decide which connections to allow when traffic control is active.

NetGate native control interface with example data

Start with a readable list

NetGate groups related components and system services into understandable entries. See received and sent traffic, then open an app’s report for known destinations and related processes.

Make a deliberate choice

Traffic monitoring is free. Connection blocking requires an active license and the standard macOS setup for NetGate’s network extension. The panel shows whether traffic control is active.

Keep the history

An app’s past traffic remains recorded after it is removed. Hide uninstalled apps to simplify the list while keeping those totals in the report. Missing destination names stay unidentified rather than becoming invented labels.

Use a profile for a recurring situation

Save app rules in profiles and automate when they apply. Keep a profile for a limited connection or a focused task, then pause automation when you need manual control.
